de la nuit

night changes like the ember from an easy twirl of a lit cigarette

or the twinkling of the stars in sync with nature’s lanterns

a galaxy of massive mystery cascading into the tiny cerebral structure of an internal web of connections

dancing gems skip and shimmer across the deep bodies of water

intricate life forms that can’t help but do si do in the moonlight

insistent wind whispers a romantic tune into my ears

stroking my chilly ears my tender fingers find a source of solace

while the noise of crickets diligently play the ear drums

vectors of light amplified and thickened by the darkness

thoughts crossing the bridge nervously with fear of downfall

distant memories make their visit, dashing through the emotional snow

nature nurtures the rich air blooming through every breath, a contractual exchange of effervescent forms

contemplating the meaning of my microscopic existence yet diving head first into its infinite experience

i drift away into a deep slumber

but these magical moments will be embedded in my conscience forever.

I generally write about where I went wrong, so others are alright.
