I Don’t Have Values
What gives something value?
Is it how much it costs?
Is it how much we think about it?
Is it the intensity of the emotion?
Do we take action when it comes to things we value?
Is it measured by the amount of influence it has on our psyche? How about our behaviors?
Understanding the value we place on things is one of the most important keys to success.
It’s rather simple in concept that we value things that we prioritize, and that we prioritize things we value.
But many times this isn’t the case.
We value things that should not be a priority. We value things that are unhealthy. We value things that give us pleasure. We value things that we are missing.
And it’s completely natural to do that.
We have evolved to value certain things over others in order to survive.
There’s nothing wrong with us if we value things that give us pleasure.
It isn’t necessarily incorrect to value something that we lack.
And that’s how we are instinctively and unconsciously wired.
