Why did a girl call me a creep when I told her I liked her?

A random but incredibly common fear that many people have, being called a creep for whatever reason is an opportunity to look at the other side of the equation.

There are a few reasons why someone might react negatively when we express our interest.

It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a reflection on us or how we phrased it.

  • They might not be interested… This is the most common scenario. It’s important to respect their feelings and move on. But remember, rejection from one person doesn’t define your worth! Remember that!!
  • They might be caught off guard??? Maybe the timing wasn’t ideal, or they weren’t expecting it. Give them some space and try again later if the situation feels right~
  • Communication is key!!! It’s possible your expression of interest might have come across differently than intended? Maybe focus on getting to know them better first and letting your feelings develop naturally.

The good news is, just like in our experience where other girls were receptive, what works for one person might not work for another. We shouldn’t let a single rejection discourage us.

If we keep putting ourselves out there but focus on being genuine and respectful, the right person will appreciate our honesty!

But be mindful and respectful, and hopefully the label “creep” is the last thing someone has on their mind talking to you.

I generally write about where I went wrong, so others are alright.
